Today during class, Mrs. Gunther talked to us about talents. She told us of the story of the parable of the bags of gold and told us of how God said we all have talents. She mentionned how it is so easy to compare ourselves with other and their talents and that is when talents could be detructive. I was able to really relate to this because that was something I did very often, I always compared myself with others. However, when she told us that we need to look at what talents we have and concentrate on developing that talents for good, I was reminded that comparing myself with others was not doing me any good but that I had to look on the bright side and be thankful for the talents that i have. I think that this was inmportant when choosing my career because I need to know of my own talents in order to make the decision that would probably change my life.

Talent.

Today, I sat on the half broken rocking chair as thoughts filled up my head. Looking down at my two little boys sleeping carrelessly on the floor, I let out a deep breath. Though they were sleeping on a cold floor with one punctured blanket and old newspapers, their faces showed peace. "If only that peace in their heart could last long" I thought to myself  as a teardrop went down my cheek. Slowly, I Got off the old chair and carefully kissed the little soft cheeks of the boys as I headed out of our shelter. The outside was full of broken roads, destroyed houses and human corpses but those did not bug me at all. What stroke me was that I could not see any trashcans or broken shops that could help me  find some edable food for my sons, again. I went around, looking here and there, rubbing my rough hands between each others, trying to sustain heat. Finding nothing even after hours and hours of seeking, I let go of the strengh that was left in my two shaking legs. Once again thoughts fill up my head. The war continues as it destroys parts of me slowly and slowly. The gap of my husband's presence feels bigger everday.  But I wont give up hope, for I have bigger things to care about than the lonelyness and the emptyness I feel deep inside my heart. I will stay strong for the  purpose of my life left in this world; my chrildren. Though the world attacks me and  hinders me, I will fight and stand back up for I am a mother.

Where I am from

The brightening ball of flames,
Drops of salty water,
And a cold bar of flavored ice

Apples, bananas, watermelons and mangos,
Twight, Uglies, and the Chronicles of Narnia
Soccer, basketball, swimming and dancing

16 brothers and 10 sisters,
Teachers, classmates, dorm parents and RAs
A loving mom and a caring dad

These places I live in,
These my favorite things,
These people who surround me,
They make up where I am from.

How to tie your shoelaces

6:29 PM Edit This 0 Comments »
First of all, take your right shoe and put in on your right foot. Take the other shoe and put it on your left foot. Make sure you put the right side of shoes on, if the shoe it kind of pointing to the left, it is your right shoe and if your shoe is pointing to the right, it is your left shoe. Now, take the two laces of one of the shoe and make two bunny ears (loops). Take the two bunny ears and tie them together like when just tying a normal nod. Do the same thing for the other shoe. And Voila! Youve just tied your shoes!
